Keys to Success: Connecting Digitally with Older Adults
What makes online art engagement – or any skills and social virtual program – work for older adults?
In this free, hour-long webinar we’ll present what we’ve found to work. You’ll also be able to share your own experience with like-minded participants who know that technology can enrich and connect at any age.
Direct[message] is a community-centered digital arts project that began in 2018. It uses an intergenerational and interdisciplinary model to research and pilot web-based systems and web-delivered programming to provide greater access to and engagement with the arts for older/aging adults. Its focus areas are Guelph, Hamilton, and London, Ontario but its findings can be applied anywhere.
The project is a collaboration between older adults in these communities, artist-run centres, and the universities in Hamilton and Guelph.
In this webinar, learn the practical steps that organizations and facilitators can take to make digital programming work for older adults of all abilities, from the older adults themselves.
