We want to learn how technology can improve and transform how older adults engage with the arts.

In 2019 we embarked on Direct[Message], a three-year, multi-phase community arts/digital strategy project to explore and develop new digital models to improve and transform the older/aging community’s access to and engagement with the arts.

We are in the process of building this site as a place to share what we’ve learned, invite input and collaboration, and respond to some of the needs older adult participants identified.

Our hope is to create an open-source digital platform that is low cost and sustainable, one that will champion inclusivity, promote intergenerational collaboration, combat social isolation, and promote creative engagement of all kinds.

Seniors Art Link is a project of Centre[3] for Artistic + Social Practice and was created with funding from Canada Council for the Arts and the New Horizons for Seniors Project.
